Canine for root canal reprocessing

Technical description

Maxillary canine filled with gutta percha and zinc oxide eugenol cement to the middle third of the root.
This tooth simulates an inadequate preparation and therefore filling, due to the use of instruments that were too short during the initial treatment, given the length of the canine (over 25 mm).

Pedagogical objective

Removal of the filling material with special instrumentation.
Root canal preparation of the uninstrumented apical portion.
Root canal shaping and filling of a long tooth with an apical hook.
